The fourth-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives made it clear in an interview last week she does not share the favorable view of the Russian leader as President Donald Trump. "Putin has an aggressive propaganda machine, and it is attempting to influence in a whole host of ways," McMorris Rodgers said.

Ammon Bundy, leader of refuge standoff, returns to Oregon

Ammon Bundy, the leader of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge takeover, is back in Oregon. Bundy was transferred from custody in Las Vegas, where he’s been held on charges from a different standoff with government agents, to the Multnomah County Jail on Friday night.

Big victory for charter schools and students

Thus far, charter schools have demonstrated an ability to close the opportunity gap by improving outcomes for students who struggled in traditional settings.
