Episode 37: Matt Russell

Matt Russell has a very relaxed style about him. He doesn't take himself or his songs too seriously, and that makes for a fun and lighthearted live experience. It also helps that Matt's songs are overflowing with an even balance of sincerity and pop sensibility. Everything about him is disarming. Russell has a new CD that he is promoting. He performs some of the songs live with a full-band sound thanks to loop stations -- which is more representative of the album -- but his solo acoustic setup is equally strong.
