Episode 35C: Joel Smith

Isamu Jordan / The Spokesman-Review

Spokane singer-songwriter Joel Smith has been making a name for himself in the local scene as a solo acoustic act — just him and a banjo or guitar. But he pulled a changeup on us for the podcast and brought a full band, including former Eurhapsodist siblings Karli and Zack Fairbanks on guitar/banjo/harmonica/accordion and guitar, respectively, and Save Lefty’s Dan Spalding on upright bass. Smith said this combination came from months of nagging from the Fairbanks sibs and last-minute adds from the rest of band.
