Sommapalooza 2007: Flicky

Isamu Jordan / The Spokesman-Review

Flicky, aka Sean Flikke, returned to Spokane to play this special Sommapalooza/Cheney showcase after moving to Oakland to be a leader for the nonprofit organization Challenge Day. With Challenge Day, Flicky will be using his music talents and coaching background to reach out to high school kids. The former minor league baseball player was adopted and grew up in Cheney, so it was especially cool for the Cheney High School graduate to play this farewell concert of sorts in his hometown. He’s accompanied by Groove Patrol commander Josh Simon on upright bass. Flicky will be back to play Elk Fest during the first weekend of June.
