Barbara Lampert, a candidate for Spokane mayor, makes her opening statement at a candidate forum on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Community Building, 35 W. Main. The debate was sponsored by Sustainable Resources INW. Lampert said she would hire an additional 100 police officers and create a plan to deal with the city’s varmint problem.
