Real estate disclosure bill clears committee – after 17 years
Legislation to require real estate sales prices to be disclosed to county assessors, so they can accurately calculate taxable market values instead of just guessing, cleared a Senate committee today after nearly two decades of unsuccessful tries. The bipartisan bill wouldn’t make that information public – it’d just require it to be reported confidentially to the assessor. Click below for AP reporter John Miller’s full report.
