The Senate passed some budget bills this afternoon, then adjourned until 10 a.m. tomorrow. Before adjournment, Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis, R-Idaho Falls, announced that the Senate will be meeting on Friday morning as well, so that senators know that when they make their weekend travel plans. Also, Senate Finance Chairman Dean Cameron, R-Rupert, announced that JFAC won’t meet tomorrow and probably will meet Monday instead. Senate Minority Leader Kate Kelly, D-Boise, presented a formal protest of this morning’s procedural ruling that blocked Democrats from insisting on a veto override vote; her protest will be spread upon the pages of the Senate journal.

“her protest will be spread upon the pages of the Senate journal.”—what does that mean exactly?

I’m glad that protest “will be spread upon the pages of the Senate journal.” But why did it have to be protested? Why did they not entertain a veto override?
This is frustrating to watch from the sidelines, it must be a thousand-fold inside that zoo when someone wants to get the ball rolling and cannot.

I’m sure glad someone can stop working at lunch and still get paid for a full day. Instead of adjouring at lunch why not stay and try to work for a compromise. Next you will be tell us you made vacation plans and don’t want to work next week. Legislators if you don’t want to work all day every day of the session no matter how long it is, Resign and let someone who is will to work all day everyday do the job.
