It seems that it never will end
And few on the House side will bend
Though vetoes rain down
And Butch wears a frown
Still $30K a day we will spend…

slow days in the press room. Please, don’t give up your day job for the world of poetry :)

I like Bestsy’s Poems…they’re very appropriate for Idaho’s Disfunctional Republican Party.

One of the most “real” examples I’ve seen of what this is costing is the factoid that the burn rate for this extended session is the equivalent of about one teaching position a day.

Since the session has gone on so long beyond what was needed the burn rate would probably have staffed an elementary school by now and we’re now headed towards burning up enough extra expenses to have staffed a middle school for a year.

Thanks to anti-teacher Bob Noninin and his comrades in the House.

Ugly ties didn’t work this year. Perhaps poetry will!
