ITD has corrected the salary figure it supplied to Eye on Boise late yesterday for new Idaho Transportation Director Brian Ness - it’s not $160,000 a year, it’s $165,000. That makes it $22,000 more than the salary paid to the previous director, Pam Lowe.

Making the sex discrimination lawsuit much more difficult to defend. Nice work ITD.

Yep, ITD just keeps digging the hole deeper and deeper for itself. Let's pay the less qualified white guy 22K more than the much more qualified woman. Did Blick negotiate the salary himself? And what's with hiring this man, who is basically going from district engineer level to director? He's skipping like three promotions for this job. This hiring reeks of politics. If someone does the tree I bet Ness is connected in some way to McGee, Otter, or Pipal.

Oh dogie, what happened to budget cuts across the board? So how much does it cost to buy fealty? Just 22K apparently.
