Nonini private exchange resolution clears House, 49-13

Rep. Bob Nonini's resolution declaring that if Idaho's health insurance industry wants a health insurance exchange, it should set up one itself with its own money,  has passed the House on a 49-13 vote. "Health care is highly accessible in Idaho," Nonini told the House. "All a person needs to do is Google health insurance in your computer, or pick up the phone book. Now, affordable is another debate." He said, "If the insurance industry is so adamant about creating a health exchange in Idaho, then we encourage the industry to go ahead and do it on their own, with the enthusiastic but not monetary support of the state of Idaho."
