Job fairs to recruit for 1,800 jobs at big new call center just west of Boise

The Idaho Department of Labor has scheduled eight job fairs at its offices around southwestern Idaho over the next week to help MAXIMUS Inc. hire up to 1,800 permanent and seasonal customer service representatives and operations support staff for a large call center it plans to open in Garden City, on the Hewlett-Packard campus. The call center is expected to open sometime in the fall, though the Department of Labor has no specific date.

Eight Southwestern Idaho Job Fairs Set to Hire 1,800 for Call Center

 

Eight job fairs at Idaho Department of Labor offices in southwestern Idaho are scheduled this month to hire up to 1,800 permanent and seasonal customer service representatives and operations support staff for a major call center.

MAXIMUS Inc., which operates government health and human services programs under contract, will open a customer contact center in Garden City on the Hewlett Packard Co. complex.

The job fairs are scheduled for:

  • Mountain Home – July 18, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Labor office, 1150 American Legion Blvd.
  • Boise – July 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Labor office, 219 W. Main St.
  • Caldwell – July 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.at the Labor office, 4514 Thomas Jefferson St.
  • Meridian – July 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Labor office, 1090 E. Watertower Lane, Suite 100.
  • Boise – July 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Labor office, 219 W. Main St.
  • Caldwell – July 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.at the Labor office, 4514 Thomas Jefferson St.
  • Meridian – July 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Labor office, 1090 E. Watertower Lane, Suite 100.
  • Payette – July 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Labor office, 501 N. 16th St., Suite 107.

 

The center will operate Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Employees will handle and answer consumer inquiries from across the United States and its territories.
