Long list of agency budgets to be set in JFAC today…

After yesterday’s heavy lifting – setting the public school budget, which accounts for 47 percent of the state general fund – JFAC is behind today, and has a long agenda. First are the budgets they didn’t get to yesterday: The Commission on Hispanic Affairs, Idaho Public TV, and the Idaho Secretary of State. Then, there’s a long list of additional budgets to set, including the Millenium Fund, the military division, the judicial branch, the Tax Commission, the state Department of Parks & Rec and the Department of Agriculture.

There was a quick unanimous vote on the Hispanic Commission; the budget there matches the governor’s recommendation, with a 2 percent increase in general funds.
