Application period opens for Idaho Opportunity Scholarships

Idaho’s state Board of Education is inviting students to apply for the state’s Opportunity Scholarship, which can be for up to $3,000 a year, is renewable for up to four years, and is available based on financial need to Idaho high school graduates with a grade-point average of at least 3.0; it’s good at Idaho colleges and universities, including all state schools, BYU-Idaho, NNU, the College of Idaho, and Idaho community colleges or Eastern Idaho Technical College.  Last year, nearly 1,500 Idaho students received Opportunity Scholarships. The scholarship application is available online here starting today; the deadline to apply is March 1.
