As members of the Idaho House were sworn in this morning, one of them, Rep. Paulette Jordan, D-Plummer, was enacting a bit of Idaho history: She is the third member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe to serve in the Idaho House. Those before here were Jeanne Givens and longtime tribal chairman Joseph Garry. “They’ve left a great path for me to walk upon, and I’m thankful for their leadership,” Jordan said. “Jeanne Givens has been a great mentor to me, inspiring me to be here, and I hope to be the same to others in my community.”
