Eye On Boise

Polls open Tues. from 8 to 8; link to coverage, voter resources…

Looking for info on the candidates and issues ahead of tomorrow’s general election? Here are links to stories I’ve done this fall on the major statewide races: The governor’s race here; the race for state superintendent of schools here; the Idaho Secretary of State race here; and the race for state treasurer here.

For the Senate and 1st District congressional races, my stories analyzed the incumbents’ legislative records as they each seek another term. GOP Sen. Jim Risch’s bid for another six-year term is being challenged by Boise attorney Nels Mitchell; while 1st District GOP Rep. Raul Labrador faces a challenge from longtime state Rep. Shirley Ringo, D-Moscow.

You can also see the S-R’s Idaho Voter Guide here, a guide to candidates and races in federal, state, local and legislative races on the ballot in Kootenai County; and visit our Election Central here, for links to all our news coverage related to the election in Idaho and Washington.

From other news outlets, resources include the Idaho Education News Election Day Preview and Guide here; the Idaho Statesman’s Treasure Valley Voter’s Guide here; KTVB-TV’s Voter Guide here; the KBOI2 News “Know Your Candidates” site here; and the Idaho Press-Tribune’s questionnaire results from western Treasure Valley legislative candidates here. Idaho Public Television has all of the Idaho Debates online here.

The Idaho Secretary of State’s office has voting information online here. Polls are open tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
