Hearing wraps up; testimony was evenly split, will resume at 8:30 on Tues.
After three and a half hours of testimony this morning and another four hours tonight, the hearing on HB 2 has ended for now, just after 9 p.m. Mountain time. In all, 70 people testified over the course of the day, exactly evenly split – 35 in favor of the bill and 35 against.
House State Affairs Chairman Tom Loertscher, R-Iona, said, “It’s been very thought-provoking – it’s been outstanding.” The hearing will start back up at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
