Third House member to forego expense $$ for special session

A third House member, Rep. John McCrostie, D-Boise, has announced he’ll forego expense reimbursement for Monday’s special legislative session. McCrostie said on Twitter, “Count me in as #3 to forego any reimbursement, though it is obviously easier to do for a Boise legislator.”

I’ve also spoken with a senator this afternoon who said it hadn’t occurred to him to skip expense reimbursement – in part because, he said, senators did their work, passing the child support enforcement bill unanimously. It was in the House that the bill failed. “I’m not happy that we have to go down there, but we’ve got to finish taking care of business and making sure that the children getting child support are getting child support that the other parent is due to take care of them,” said Sen. Bob Nonini, R-Coeur d’Alene. "It was passed unanimously in the Senate."
