Idaho unemployment rate falls to 4%

Idaho’s unemployment rate fell to 4 percent in October, as the seasonally adjusted rate dropped two-tenths of a percent. Job growth for the month was the strongest it’s been in a decade, the Idaho Department of Labor reports. The national unemployment rate for the month was 5 percent.

The department reports that compared to the same month a year earlier, Idaho had an increase of 25,000 jobs, spread across almost all industry sectors with particularly strong growth in construction, education, health care and manufacturing. Information services was the only exception with a decline of 300 jobs since last year. There’s more info here, and breakdowns by county, city and labor market area are online here.
