State now on track to have $139M left at end of fiscal year, $92M more than anticipated

The latest General Fund Budget Monitor from the legislative budget office, which tracks budget implications of monthly changes in state tax revenues, puts Idaho’s forecasted year-end balance at the end of the current fiscal year at $139 million – $92 million more than the Legislature anticipated when it adjourned last March. That’s after all of last year’s budget decisions are taken into account. You can see the full monthly General Fund Budget Monitor here.

Note: This post has been updated, to reflect a correction to the budget monitor that increased the figures by about $4 million.
