Idaho exchange hits 2nd in nation for per-capita enrollments

Idaho’s state health insurance exchange, Your Health Idaho, announced today that 102,353 people signed up for health insurance through the exchange in the just-completed open enrollment period, placing Idaho second in the nation for per-capita enrollments. Only Florida was higher.

“This is our strongest enrollment to date,” said Your Health Idaho Executive Director Pat Kelly. “What’s especially significant is that Idaho is again leading the nation in per capita enrollment among state-based exchanges. We are helping more Idahoans than ever find affordable coverage for themselves and their families.”

The open enrollment period ended Jan. 31, but those who enrolled by the deadline had until Feb. 15 to select their plan. Idaho established the exchange by state law in 2013.
