February state tax revenues beat forecasts

State tax revenues came in $13.8 million above forecasts for the month of February, 10.4 percent above; that brings general fund collections for the fiscal year to date to almost exactly on forecast, at just $0.2 million below. Year-to-date general fund receipts are 4.3 percent above last year at this time. You can see the state Division of Financial Management’s monthly General Fund Revenue Report here.

Meanwhile, the Legislature’s General Fund Budget Monitor for the month shows that with legislative budget action to date, the state is currently projected to end the current fiscal year at the end of June with a $59.5 million ending balance.
