Final, unofficial results: Cruz got 45.4 percent

The final, unofficial results are in from yesterday’s presidential primary. With 100,928 votes, Ted Cruz won Idaho’s GOP primary with 45.4 percent, and will receive 20 of Idaho’s 32 GOP delegates. Donald Trump, who got 62,466 votes, or 28.1 percent, will receive the other 12.

Marco Rubio polled 15.9 percent, 35,333 votes; and John Kasich came in fourth with 7.4 percent, or 16,515 votes.

Turnout figures haven’t yet been calculated, because same-day registration changes the percentage turnout. But more than 214,000 votes were cast, according to the Idaho Secretary of State’s office.

The final results for the Constitution Party primary showed Scott Copeland winning with 51.7 percent or 250 votes. In second place was J.R. Myers with 28.7 percent or 139 votes; in third was Patrick Anthony Ockander with 19.6 percent, 95 votes.
