Tonight’s “Idaho Reports” on Idaho Public Television will feature the 2nd District congressional race, in which nine-term GOP Rep. Mike Simpson faces a low-key challenge from Democrat Jennifer Martinez, who is making her first run for office. Simpson and Martinez will be interviewed separately by co-host Melissa Davlin on tonight’s program; then, Davlin will be joined by BSU professor emeritus Jim Weatherby and myself for analysis in a “Web Extra” discussion online, which will cover not only the 2^nd District race, but also a wide-ranging discussion of Idaho politics and the developments of this final week before the election.
