Eye On Boise

These six countries would all fit inside Idaho with room to spare…

Here’s a rather surprising comparison, courtesy of SelfStorage.com: Idaho’s size, if it were its own country, would make it the 83rd largest in the world. And it’s much bigger than many other countries; so much so, that the company, imagining Idaho as a storage unit, used mapping tools to see how other countries would fit inside it. The result: “You could fit Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, Montenegro, and Luxembourg inside Idaho all at the same time,” the company reports.

Other countries that singly would fit inside Idaho: Portugal, Ireland, Nepal, Bangladesh, North Korea and more. Switzerland, for example, is 15,940 square miles; Idaho is 83,568 square miles. The company has more here, including maps showing how each of various nations would fit into an Idaho-sized storage container.
