State tax revenues slip below forecasts for March, but still $36.9M ahead for year to date
Idaho’s state tax revenues in March came in 3.2 percent below projections, though they were 2.1 percent higher than the same month last year. It’s just the second month in the fiscal year in which collections fell short of forecasts. For the fiscal year to date, revenues are ahead of forecasts by $36.9 million, or 1.6 percent; they’re 8.3 percent higher than the same period a year ago.
The governor’s Division of Financial Management reports that individual income tax receipts were actually $7.2 million ahead of forecasts for the month, but they were offset by lower than anticipated corporate income tax and sales taxes.
