Preparations are under way now for the commemorations for the late Idaho Gov. Cecil Andrus, who died last week on the eve of his 86th birthday. Idaho's longest-serving governor will lie in state in the Capitol rotunda from noon today until noon tomorrow; there'll be a public memorial service at BSU tomorrow afternoon.

Today's ceremonies will include a 19-gun salute from Capitol Park at noon; followed by remarks from Gov. Butch Otter and former Gov. Phil Batt in the rotunda starting at 12:15. Flags at the Capitol are flying at half-staff. I'll have a full report here later today on today's commemorations.
