“Hear our voice, hear our voice!” chanted close to 300 high school students and others gathered on the Idaho Statehouse steps this morning for a rally to protest new U.S. education Secretary Betsy DeVos and support public education. Another 100 or so adults are gathered, watching and mostly supporting the kids’ protest, which is being led by a teen with a megaphone, and came amid calls for a walkout from school.

One anti-abortion protester heckled the kids and waved a large cardboard sign, prompting some shouting back and forth; the crowd has continued to grow.
