Former U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson joins Stoel Rives as a partner

U.S. Attorney for Idaho Wendy Olson, whose last day in office was Friday, is joining the law firm Stoel Rives LLP as a partner effective today, joining the litigation practice group in its Boise office.  Tim Snider, head of the firm’s litigation practice group, said, “We are honored to welcome Wendy as a partner, and we look forward to adding her considerable talents to our team.”

Olson said in a statement, “After a long career in public service, I look forward to private practice, where I will work with clients on civil and criminal matters, as well as assist them with government regulatory investigations. I know that I am joining a team of incredible lawyers at Stoel Rives who advocate on behalf of a diverse array of clients nationwide.”

Olson has been Idaho’s top federal prosecutor since 2010, when she was appointed by President Barack Obama. She worked in Idaho’s U.S. Attorney’s office for more than two decades, serving under four presidents. A Pocatello native, she is a graduate of Drake University and Stanford Law School.
