Bedke: ‘She needs to take full responsibility for her words and actions’

Asked about Rep. Heather Scott’s Facebook statement today blasting him for not yet restoring her committee assignments and her objection that forced the full reading of a bill during today’s House session, House Speaker Scott Bedke, R-Oakley, said, “I’ll stick by my statement from the other day.”

“I think there’s a list of ladies that she needs to talk to, and then when she has, she and I should talk,” he said. “I believe that she needs to take full responsibility for her words and actions, and when I am comfortable that she has, then I will act accordingly.”

He added, “It was not my actions that put her on this course of events, and it will be her actions that get us off this course of events, not mine.”

“I think we made progress yesterday,” he said.
