Eaton to shift from Realtors, become IACI vice president

John Eaton, government affairs director for the Idaho Association of Realtors, has been named vice president of the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, or IACI; he’ll replace Zach Hauge, who will start June 14 as campaign manager for Lt. Gov. Brad Little’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign.

Alex LaBeau, IACI president, said, “We are fortunate to have someone with John’s abilities join the team at IACI. He has proven himself as one who can work with both sides of the aisle. His legislative and research skills are extraordinary, and IACI will benefit from his talent, intelligence and enthusiasm.”

Eaton said in a statement about his move to the business lobbying group, “I’m excited about the opportunity to broaden my public policy and political affairs work on behalf of all IACI members. I look forward to addressing the complex policy issues that can improve the business environment for the benefit of Idaho employers and the broader state economy.”
