The Legislative Council is meeting this morning to approve and name lawmakers to interim committees for the upcoming legislative interim. All are continuations from previous years, with the exception of the Commercial Vehicle Annual Registration Fee Study Committee, which will meet for the first time this year, but was called for by HB 312, the conference committee transportation legislation that passed at the end of the 2015 session. Here are all the approved interim committees and their members:

Public Schools Funding Formula: Sens. Winder (co-chair), Mortimer, Bayer, Den Hartog and Ward-Engelking; and Reps. Horman (co-chair), Bedke, VanOrden, Dixon and McCrostie.

Foster Care System: Sens. Lee (co-chair), Lakey, Souza, Anthon, and Buckner-Webb; and Reps. Perry (co-chair), Moyle, Luker, Monks, and Wintrow.

State Employee Group Insurance Plan Interim Committee: Sens. Lakey (co-chair), Johnson, Nonini, Patrick, and Nye; Reps. Wood (co-chair), ,Anderson, Anderst, Kloc, and Monks (who may be replaced by another appointee).

Criminal Justice Reinvestment Oversight Committee (required by statute): Sens. Lodge (co-chair), Keough, Rice, Buckner-Webb, and Nye; Reps. Luker (co-chair), Holtzclaw, Zollinger, McCrostie, and Jordan.

Idaho Council on Indian Affairs (required by statute): Sens. Guthrie (chair) and Buckner-Webb; Reps. Anderson and Jordan.

Natural Resources Interim Committee: Sens. Bair (co-chair), Siddoway, Heider, Brackett, Stennett, Keough (ad hoc), Patrick (ad hoc), and Jordan (ad hoc); Reps. Raybould (co-chair), Bedke, Moyle, Gibbs, Rubel, Gestrin (ad hoc), and Shepherd (ad hoc).
