House passes SB 1195a, combo bill of unemployment tax rate cut and income tax cut
With House members clearly exhausted after a long day of hurry up and wait, the House has now voted 53-17 in favor of SB 1195a, the amended version of the unemployment insurance tax rate cut bill that now has a $27.9 million income tax cut added into it. House Majority Leader Mike Moyle, R-Star, urged support for the bill; Rep. John Gannon, D-Boise, argued the state can’t afford it.
Then, the House quickly moved on to HB 334, the bill just introduced this afternoon, on allowing surplus eliminator funds to be used for sidewalk projects when necessary.
