Statesman: Teenage page’s harassment complaint last year was about 2 lawmakers, lobbyist

The Idaho Statesman, in a front-page story today, reports that public records requests have revealed that a harassment complaint from a teenage House page last year wasn’t just about “mildly flirty” comments from Rep. James Holtzclaw, as previously reported; it also included complaints about the late Rep. Brandon Hixon and a lobbyist, Colby Cameron. None of the behavior was physical, Statesman reporter Ruth Brown reports, other than a representative’s light touch on the young woman’s arm. Instead, it involved comments and conduct that made the young woman feel uncomfortable and “really creeped out.”

After her complaint was submitted, the young page was moved to different committee assignments. The Statesman’s full report is online here.
