Three Classic Cars Stolen in Commercial Burglary

At 04:04 this morning, a citizen telephoned police stating a burglary was in progress at 1126 W 2nd Ave, and that vehicles were being driven out of the dealership. The business is Rohrers Select Cars, which sells older classic cars in prime condition.
Police arrived and found no one inside the business, but found that several cars had been driven out of the building. One vintage Chevrolet Corvette sustained several thousands dollars in damage after being struck by one of the stolen vehicles as it exited the showroom.
The owner was contacted, who responded to the dealership. The owner informed police three vehicles were missing: a 1972 Buick Gran Sport, a 1969 Ford Mustang, and a 1965 Chevrolet Malibu. The owner estimated their combined value at over $60,000.
By 10:00 this morning, Spokane Police officers had located all three stolen cars. The Mustang was found at Riverside and "A" Street, the Buick at Sprague and Howard, and the Malibu near 1st and Madison. The Mustang was high-centered on a dirt burm with a flat tire and possible body damage. The Buick had some body damage from hitting the Corvette. The Malibu did not appear to be damaged at this time.
There are no suspects at this time. A Spokane Police Evidence Specialist responded to the scene and has taken nine different fingerprint cards as evidence to date in hopes of identifying the suspect(s).
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in that area this morning is asked to call 242-TIPS.
