Brrr. It’s chilly this morning!

Good morning, Netizens...

With the temperature hovering at a brisk and chilly temperature of 45 degrees this morning, does this mean no one will be swimming in the recently-opened swimming pools in Spokane today? How about tubing down the Spokane River? Anyone in favor of hypothermia for a recreational opportunity?

There is a spot of fog hanging over Hillyard this morning, and it is too chilly to be out recreating at this graceless hour of the morning. Even the Garden Gnomes in the Virtual Garden are staying pretty much below ground, snuggled next to their stoves, rather than come above ground and inspect the tomato plants.

The raucous jaybirds that normally would steal or eat anything not fastened down by a one-inch steel cable seem reluctant to leave the comfort of their nests and are not in evidence at all.

I have a service call to attend to, but I'll be back to see if anyone else is surprised by this sudden rash of August weather that is more like October.
