Good morning, Netizens...

Oh my goodness! After watching the various Town Hall Meetings on health care over the last week and change, and after listening very carefully to what some members of the public said to the various members of the government agencies, I would not want to be one of those agencies for they have taken a verbal beating, for right or wrong.

We have forgotten how to be polite in our discourse, regardless of our point of view. Collectively we seem to feel being abrasive and abusive enhances, our opinions, gives us a better place upon which to stand and the more others will hear what we have to say. The louder we yell, the more we stress how irate we are, the more people will listen.

David Horsey draws an important line in his cartoon on the health care crisis this morning. Mental health should be included in our planning of whatever health care plans we have for the future. We should include mental health care for those who are most in need, but those who are protesting at Town Hall Meetings against the government proposed health care plans for the future.

It seems a valid point to make.

Dave
