Shortly after three o'clock local time today the two judges and members of the jury panel found Amanda Knox guilty of murder. There are several steps that remain to be taken, but one observation is that despite the fact her parents bought a plane ticket home for her, Amanda won't be flying home anytime soon. She was found guilty of murdering her roommate Merideth Kercher and has been sentenced to 26 years in prison.

Her ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito of Italy, also was found guilty following a yearlong trial. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
