Local author Cynthia Morris recently published Kids’ Krostics, a book with challenging quotation puzzles that help kids build “grit” as well as vocabulary and basic research skills, all while learning fun animal facts.

Morris tested her puzzles on a large group of 8- to 12-year-old kids at Mullan Road Elementary School in Spokane. The results were extremely positive, according to a Spokane Public Schools spokeswoman. Morris and the kids celebrated a book release on Wednesday.
