Results of weighted grade survey

Spokane Public Schools' board is considering a number of changes for the school district through 2020 to make improvements, support teachers and help students reach to their full academic potential.

Among the considerations are changes to grading options and practices, the use of weighted grades and alternative ways to recognizing students at graduation.

School Board members asked parents and staff to share their opinions via an online survey. The results are in. Both parents and staff want the grading system to change so it includes letter grades with pluses and minuses.
