Going Mobile

Destination: Exploring the epic beauty of Denali National Park

Denali National Park is a special place.

As part of our Alaska tour, we spent three days there hiking amid inclement weather. No, we never saw the mountain, but we did get to see a lot of wildlife.

It would have been nice to stay there in an RV. But we decided to stay in a tent, which made it particularly challenging as inches of rain fell and temps dropped into the high 30s at night.

Nevertheless, we made it through in our wet tent, enjoying the sweeping views of broad valleys, catching occasional glimpses of grizzly bears, moose and caribou.

It was a great visit, and it reconfirms our idea of getting an RV to explore North America’s most beautiful places.
