Portland 4, UCLA 0 … Hail National Champs
This is a repeat shot from Friday evening, showing UP's Christine Sinclair after she scored the winning goal against Penn State in the semifinals of the national NCAA women's soccer tournament. Sinclair scored 2 more goals today as UP stomped UCLA 4-0 to win its second national championship in four years. Why am I telling you all this? Amy Dearest attends Portland (and reported by phone just now that the Chiles Center was rocking as students watched the blowout) -- and PDX Pup (ex-UP goalie), her mom, JBelle, and the rest of their clan are big-time Pilots fans. Congrats all.
