Peanut Gallery — Turn Person Field into Real Park
The city needs to buy the school district's 1/2 of Persons Field and then make it into a REAL park. I think the fields should stay if possible, but it'd be nice if, say, there were slant parking on the north side of Garden (across from the theater) to match the south side of the road. Then, there'd be more parking for both the theater, and, more importantly, for junior tackle, when 500 "parents and fans" park on every square inch of non-green space in the neighborhood. (This is only slightly exaggerated ;-) The worst (and most ironic) thing that could happen now is that the district sells the land to the highest bidder (which they should in order to keep that levy total down), and the "green space" becomes 20+ new houses.
