Skookum’s Bartholdt Joins HBO Blogroll

Put your hands together for one of my favorite North Idaho journalists Ralph Bartholdt (shown above in Iraq), who joins the HBO "Local Photographers" blogroll today. Not only is Ralph a fine photographer, but he's the only journalist I know that has covered the story of post-war Iraq. He did so with the blessing of the Publisher Dan Hammes at the St. Maries Gazette-Record, where Ralph works as the editor. His articles capture the old Ernie Pyle style of telling the story of the soldiers in the line of fire. You'll find some of those on the link I'm about to provide you. I'm thrilled that Ralph is joining Doug Fredericks, the two Phils and Sandpoint In Pictures to make this a growing repository of beautiful North Idaho photography. You can find Ralph's Web site by clicking on the link under "Local Photography" or by clicking here. And you can find a story by Ralph this week interviewing a WWII vet from the St. Maries area here.
