*Blogmeister Ryan has updated my blogroll again to include new sites, photography from Doug Fredericks and Phil Corless (Tall Trees), under North Idaho Bloggers and the new "Friends of Huckleberries," which is comprised of bloggers who provide links to Huckleberries on their sites or comment here with regularity. Most of the dead wood has been hacked away. Now, I have to work on "about this blog."

Those were the magical words used by Mr. Wizard of the Great Forest to save Tooter Turtle from a myriad of difficulties he faced when he botched jobs after assuming different identities, from being a lumberjack to a taxi driver, from pre-historic times to the moon.

*Sheriff's Capt/spokesman Ben Wolfinger told Huckleberries that he received a call from a Colorado Seasoned Citizen today, named McCorkle, who thought he was a long, lost relative -- and she was right. Ben's grandfather, Benton DeVilla Wolfinger of Polson, Mont., was the woman's great uncle. She spotted Ben while he was doing his terrific job as spokesman during the Groene murder/kidnappings. Ben sez he has to noodle things a bit before he figures out his relationship to her.
