Shortly after we moved to Coeur d'Alene, we visited City Beach for the first time for a little late September fun in the sand. We shared the beach that day with a man who carefully laid out his towel, then removed his shoes, pants and shirt to reveal a pink thong. Then he just lay there on his towel, admiring the view. Strangest thing I've ever seen.

DFO: Sounds like you had a close encounter with the infamous Thong Man. If memory serves me correctly, he fought for his right to wear a thong, all the way to the City Council, and won on a split vote. I maintain that men who wear thongs on the beach are exhibitionists at best -- and I'd hate to think what they are at worst.
