re: Dubya picking frontrunner Edith Clements for Supreme Court vacancy tonight

Well, you'd think so ... but it DOES seem a little fishy that every reporter in town got the same leak. Reminds me of when Bush the First nominated Souter....there was media buzz that the nominee would be Ken Starr, and it turned out the white house had "encouraged" the false rumor to give Souter some peace. Anyway...long-shot on Larry Thompson or Michael Luttig!
