DFO: Bob Salsbury has provided some terrific insights re: registered sex offenders this weekend here. We can write laws that make us feel better but won't make us much safer. No question, however, that we should keep better track of the Level 3's and even the borderline Level 2's who may be just as bad but plea bargained their way out of the worst designation. Idaho should adopt Washington's laws re: the three levels and maybe more -- and be all over the Level 3's. And we need a way to keep the potentially worse ones locked up forever. Earlier this weekend, I had some thoughts re: the worst of the worst here.
