Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has weighed in on President Bush's Supreme Court nominee, applauding Judge John Roberts in all areas, yet lamenting the fact that he's not a woman.
I'll bet, back in 1981 when O'Connor herself was nominated by President Reagan, there were similar comments. Probably they sounded like this: "She's good in every way, except she's not a man!"
Too bad, after all these years, we still can't get beyond petty, sexist remarks.
