Huckleberries Online

Inside Huckleberries — 6/13/05

Polish or blond jokes anyone? Hat Tip to The Heimlich Maneuver for passing along this photo of a, ahem, genteel Michael Jackson supporter.

*A coupla commenters complained they haven't liked my use of "nazi" to describe regulators. I've used it on the meter maid who slapped a $50 ticket on my wife's car for parking in a handicap space -- that was already occupied. And for food police. Are they being overly sensitive? Or am I being too insensitive?

*My new western Washington blog friend, Josef/Josef's Public Blog, points out why Spokane County shouldn't be excited about U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell's announcement that she won millions more for Washington's timber country here. (BTW, I'm delighted that Josef has decided to keep on bloggin' despite the outcome of the Washington guv's race.)
...
*Huckleberries has it from good sources that we lost a second uberconservative to the infamous Tuesday Night Flame War a week ago. But a blog favorite will be returning in a week after a well-deserved vacation.
...
*So, is that vinyl I have of the "Jackson 5" from the 1970s more or less valuable now?
...
*Huckleberries Online finally broke thru the 30,000 pageview barrier for 7 days last week when the PV count hit 30,979. The previous best was 29,636 the week before. On Wednesday, blog pageviews went over 6000 for the second time (and the only time without the assistance of Brownie Boy), 6285, and averaged over 5000 for the following 2 days. Thanks for your continued patronage.
