Here it is; the Brunswick Cafe, Sherman Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets, in 1968! It was the last year of Lyndon Johnson's presidency...gas was probably 25 cents a gallon, if that...I used to go into the Brunswick as a kid...and drink Cherry Cokes. (strong stuff!) The severe winter of 1968...I'd go snow-shoveling all over town...then walk downtown, spend my money on...you guessed it, records...and I'd always end up over at the Brunswick.
